Mitch, Russ and his team are the CSI unit in Weaver Utah, Metro area. They cover a lot of ground and a lot of crime.

Mitch: "For three years prior to VideoFOCUS we had another system. We thought when we got it that it was the standard; that's how all systems worked. But we have a lot of complaints capturing stills off of video. It was seriously complicated, time consuming, and didn't in the end get us the quality of images we need to verify information."

The resolution enhancement feature is excellent — better than the frame averaging tools on other systems. There can be motion and you can still work with the frames to get the still out in good shape. Quality is a big thing. I want the best image I can get."

"Here's the thing: I used to have stacks of videos on my desk at the beginning of every week, waiting for me and the machine to get to them. Since we brought VideoFOCUS in, I have none. Part of it is that is because VideoFOCUS is so much faster than what we had. And part is that now all the people I work with can use it too. After 3 hours of training they're doing it on their own. It's actually fun, they have a good time with it."
